Launched in 2002, eHardwicks.com is a subdivision of Hardwick & Sons, Inc. We are a family owned and operated business that has been in existence since 1932. Located in Seattle, Washington, Hardwick's is known for its oddball and specialty items, ranging from hardware and tools to furniture and housewares. Featuring our popular items and fine woodworking tools, eHardwicks.com is our answer to reaching our customers outside the Pacific Northwest and across the world. We are continually working to increase the number of products that are available for purchase online. The current state of our website does not reflect the extensive product lines that can be found in our store. Is it safe to shop at eHardwicks.com?

No. You can purchase your items without creating an account. However, by creating an account, you do not have to re-enter your contact information every time you shop at eHardwicks.com. The information that is stored in your account includes your name, address, email and phone number. We do not store your payment information.

How do I rent a U-haul truck?
If you are in the greater Seattle area and you would like to reserve a U-haul truck, please contact our U-haul reservations desk during our store hours at 206-729-3915.
Please note that we do not rent trailers even though U-haul's official site states that we do. We apologize for the confusion and we are working with U-haul to solve this problem.

Where is your store located and what are the hours?
Our store, Hardwick's, is located in the heart of the University District at the intersection of 42nd and Roosevelt Way NE in Seattle, Washington. We are currently open six days a week, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am - 6:00pm. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays. How do I place an order?
Our shopping bucket is currently undergoing upgrades and we are unable to receive orders online. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you'd like to order an item by phone, please call 1-866-369-6525. Thank you for your patience!

What happens if an item I ordered is out-of-stock?
In the rare occasion that an item you ordered is out of stock, eHardwicks.com will notify you of the situation via email. At that time, you can elect to cancel your order or request that the remaining items in your order still be shipped to you. If you choose to cancel your order because the item is out of stock, we will issue you a full refund.
Because many of our products face limited production and/or overseas transit, orders that cannot be fulfilled within 30 days will automatically be cancelled and an email notification will be sent.

What do you charge for shipping?
The fee to ship your order is calculated when you check out. The exact rate is determined by UPS according to the total weight of your order and the method used to ship your order. All orders are subject to a $2.50 handling fee. International orders may face import duties upon arrival of the destination country. See our Shipping Policy for more information.

How is my order shipped?
Most orders are shipped via UPS. In rare occasions, your order may be shipped via USPS. Orders that contain multiple items will be shipped together. Please see our Shipping Policy for more information.

How long will it take to receive my order?
The total delivery time of your order is determined by the time it takes to pack your order and the time it takes to deliver your order. eHardwicks.com will ship your order within 1-2 business days of receipt. The actual shipment time will vary according to the service you selected during the checkout process. Please see our Shipping Policy for more information.

How do I cancel my order?
Please email us to cancel your order. We will request your order number and email address. If your order has not been shipped, it will be cancelled and the order total will be refunded. If your order has already been shipped, you must complete the return process. Sorry, we will not refund shipping fees for cancelled orders that have already been shipped.

What are my payment options?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. If you would like to pay by check or money order, you must contact eHardwicks.com at 1-866-369-6525. Your check or money order must be denominated in US dollars and drawn from a US bank. Please keep in mind that paying by check or money order will delay your order by the amount of time it takes for your check to be processed, usually 1-2 weeks. Returned checks will be subject to the maximum fee allowed by law. We do not accept checks for international orders.

Do I pay sales tax on my order?
According to the Internet Tax Freedom Act, sales tax is determined by the destination of the order and the location of the seller. Because eHardwicks.com is based in Seattle, items shipped to destinations in Washington State are subject to the 8.8% sales tax.
If you are placing an order from outside the US, be aware that your order may face import duties and additional taxes. Please be aware that eHardwicks.com is not responsible for additional fees collected.

What about gifts?
At this time, eHardwicks.com does not accept gift certificates as a form of payment. You must use your gift certificate at our store location. We are unable to process orders as gifts and we do not provide gift wrap service as an option.

How can I track my order?
When your order has been shipped, eHardwicks.com will send you an email announcing the completion of your order to the email address you provided during the checkout process. In this email, a tracking number will be posted. Simply click on this number and you will be rerouted to the expediter's website.

When am I billed for my purchases?
If you are paying by credit card, you will be charged at the time your order is shipped. If you are paying by check, your order will not be sent until your check has cleared.

Why didn't I receive an order confirmation or a shipping confirmation?
When you place an order at eHardwicks.com, you should receive two emails- the first one confirms placement of your order and the second confirms shipment of your order. If you have a means of SPAM prevention enabled on your email client, you may not receive these emails. We encourage you to allow receipt of emails originating from our domain (ehardwicks.com) by adjusting your email settings. What browser do I need to shop at eHardwicks.com?
eHardwicks.com was specifically designed for Mozilla Firefox 1.5x and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6x and up. Using older versions of any browser will cause technical difficulties when visiting eHardwicks.com. To verify which browser version you are currently using, click on the "About" item under the Help menu on your browser.
We encourage you to download the latest version of the browser of your choice for viewing and security reasons.

When I click on the Zoom and More Info buttons on the product pages, nothing happens. Why?
When you click on either the Zoom button or the More Info button on product pages, a second window is supposed to open and display the requested information. We designed our site this way so that you do not have to leave the product page you are currently viewing. In most cases, pop-up windows within a site are allowed in browser default settings. If you have a Pop-Up Blocker enabled on your computer, we suggest that you add eHardwicks.com to your Safe List or that you temporarily disable the program. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

When I try to add products to my Shopping Bucket, it says that it is empty. What do I do?
This problem may occur due to the privacy setting in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x. If your privacy setting is set to a level higher than Medium, your system could be rejecting the eHardwicks.com cookies that are needed to place an order through our Shopping Bucket. We ask that you adjust your privacy setting to allow eHardwicks.com cookies on your system. To do so, click the Tools button on the Internet Explorer tool bar and select Internet Options in the drop-down menu. In the newly opened window, click the Privacy tab. Click the Edit button. In the new window, type "www.ehardwicks.com" in the Web site address section and then click the Allow button. Click OK.
