These German engineered power tools are arguably the best on the market. From their routers to their jig saws, to the renowned Domino, Festool has taken the industry standard and made it inadequate. There is no such thing as an after thought with this company. If there is something different about a tool than what you’re used to, there is a reason for it. Take the Rotex Sander, available in a 3.5 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch. The unique hole pattern is set up to optimize dust extraction which results in cleaner air, better finishes, and longer abrasive and pad life.

Vacuum? Yes, please!

Speaking of dust extraction, the vacuum system alone could have sold us on this company. With 5 flavors to choose from, all dust extractors come with an 11.5 inch antistatic suction hose which can hook up to a majority of their tools. So when you pull the trigger on your TS 75 EQ Plunge Cut Saw, the vacuum begins automatically with the tool and will run for an extra three seconds when you’re done, to clear out the hose. We were amazed to see that after slicing through a block of wood, we were left with little to no dust to clean up.

New Releases

For those of you already familiar with the wonder that is Festool, keep an eye out for the new drills being released this summer. The CXS 10.8v Drill has been available as of June 1st. There has been a lot of buzz around this drill and it was recently featured on The Today Show. Stop by Hardwick’s and check it out along with the largest selection of Festool in the north end!
